Help. We've just moved in to a house with an electric heated towel rail in the ensuite. When it is switched on it clicks like mad. What do I need to do to stop it?

Is the property rented?
If so then contact your landlord/letting agent. Sounds to me like the thermostat is rapidly switching on and off for some unknown reason.

Can you take a piccy of your unit plus the area where the noise is coming from?

It's a towel radiator.
It's our house.
Can it be fixed?
Probably can.
Picture would be nice, as would make/model.
It maybe a case that the element needs replacing, some of these type of radiators are filled with water or oil, so it may need to be turned upside down or drained to repair.

It may have been oil filled but no longer has enough oil to cover the element. Hence with no oil to take the heat away the element heats up very quickly and reaches the temperature at which the thermostat operates in just a few seconds. Thermostat opens, the element cools down, the thermostat closes and the cycle repeats.
