Door stops / fitting new engineered oak floor

S

sentinal73

Hi all,

I'm in the process of fitting an oak floor in the kitchen and would like to know where I should stop with the end of the oak floor plank in a doorway, in relation to the door stop and the door.

The next room will be having carpet fitted eventually and the door opens into the room where the oak floor is being laid.

Thanks in advance !

you want the carpet to be visible one side and the floor to be visible other side with the door closed
so choose your threashold strip lay it into the space under the door then stop the flooring 10 to12mm short off the centre bar/screw point for expansion
