Hello, I'm putting a wood floor down in my hallway. I need to take some off the bottom of the front door for clearance. The door has no threshold only a concrete step. I have brought a stormguard threshold but this is to wide for the inside of the step having nothing to sit on properly. any ideas?

does the floor under the door get wet when it rains without anyone using the door??

Not when it rains as its covered by a porch. But water gets in and wets the doormat when the door is cleaned. The doormat is fitted into the floor level. I could do with a threshold only as wide as the door 30mm.

are you talking a structural 20mm floor or a 9 to 15mm laminate or similar
most engineered floors do not like more than a passing amount off moisture never any laying for more than 5 to 15 mins

I've found a threshold to suit. Thanks for the replies...
