Hi like a **** i took down a wall and didnt measure the door width with out wood work can anyone help. and how deep should footing be when building a new interior load bearing wall.

any help would be appreciated.

for a standard internal 30" wide door, allow 32" between studs or brickwork opening.

for any loadbearing wall we usually dig as deep as 1m. i guess you could relax it to 750mm deep for an internal but it still must be 'good' ground.
