Dot and dab and screw plasterboard hybrid

hi. I have a wall which skimmer has told me to dot and dab.whats the best approach. Should I dot and dab below paddtone level and use screws above it with wood in rsj?

Probably. Are you plasterboarding under the lintel too? Might want to screw some ply to those noggins so when time comes you can easily screw the plasterboard to the underside by driving screws into the ply edge

Alternatively you can use adhesive like Sticks Like Sh*t to bond the board to the metal underside- liberal application of the glue, support the board with a straight timber along its leng and another couple of timber deadmen holding it all up, 24 h
