Dot and dab coming through plaster

Been suggested put a air vent in wall to allowed circulation between brick and themo boards. Is this a good idea ? Anyone.

Dont install the air brick.
Who installed the D&D? Why?
Solid wall, or CWI in cav wall - solid floor - rendered wall -any previous damp problems?
Why not post photos of the D&D wall(s) and the external wall surface?

ad stains on wall through water or damp must be getting in somewhere/ it was looked and suggest have themoboard put on. but due to dot and dab its now coming through plaster. ad windows outside front of house checked cant found anything. any advise on wht to do now?
