Dot and dab question

Hi
I have removed some plaster from a block wall which has left plaster ingrained in the rough blockwork I've gone over it with a wire brush but ain't touching it I won't to dot and dab the wall just need to know if I have to remove what's left of the plaster before I do this and if so best way to do this thanks

If the plaster was sound you could of dabbed over it. But what you have done is good enough to dot and dab your boards on... As long as there is no dust on the wall you should be ok. You could give it a mist spray of water to kill any dust left on..
