DOT N DAB ON OLD STONE WALL

Hi Brist,
Never tried dot n dab on an old stone wall before.If it's a solid stone external wall,it might just draw the damp through.Can the wall be battened and plaster-boarded with 12mm foil backed.I don't know whether PVA and then DnD on a smooth stone wall would stick long term,there's a fair old bit of weight hanging there.

vapor board I wouldent chance it, Thermal board dabbed or fixed to batons
