Hi there,

Bit of a newbie to plastering, but have fixed plasterboard to wooden battens in the past. But need to board out a brick wall and release its easier with dot n dab. But what sort of adhesive do I need? Bloke at wickes was a little useless but I reckon I need the powder bonding adhesive that comes in 25kg bags?

Cheers

Can you be a bit more specific? I have the same question. A book I've looked at says to use gypsum adhesive, but I can't find that product anywhere. B&Q and Homebase don't seem to have anything, Wickes was going to be my next port of call!

Jewsons do a plaster board adhesive wich is good and i would use 12mm 8x4 tappered boards then tape and joint using scrim tape and gyproc easy fill (available from brewers or dulux decorating centres) so theres no need to plaster.
