Double Nozzle Sink Trap

Hi,

I bought one of these from Screwfix:

Its perfect but leaks slightly, I think just because its cheap. Can anyone recommend a better one? Or suggest how I can seal it somehow?

It leaks on the joins on the u bend.

Tightening doesn't help, the joints dont fit together very well.

The only problem is that it looks like the waste pipe is too low to my existing pipework. What part do I need to extend it up? Do mcalpine do extending sections?

Have you checked the seals? Sometimes a dry seal can cause a join to leak, a little silicon/LM grease on them might sort it out.

The joints are rubbish quality, thats the problem, my other bits fit together much better.

Had problems with the cheap S/fix traps before. My tightwad mate got a couple, trying to do his bathroom on the cheap. Made him go and get McAlpine, they've not leaked since!
