Double Pol switches......

Hi.... Can anyone assist please....

We have inadvertantly purchased double pol single switch light switches and wondered if there is any way these can be used in a room where we have 2 seperate single switches....

We have read the forum and know how to wire these into a room where there is only a single switch....

Any help or advice would be much appreciated....

If you have two switches which operate the same light i.e. a two way switching setup, then you can not use double pole switches as a replacement.

You can only use them to replace one way switches.

The way you describe is exactly our set up.....

Do you know what the switches are called that I need to swap them for please?
