Hi

We are replacing our double under oven which has reached end of life.

It's never quite fitted in gap and always stuck out (by about half cm at most). I suggested we get a single under oven and find something to fill gap however wife wants a double under oven again and no gap.

I've tried explaining it doesn't fit, I'm thinking about asking a handyman to install it for me by perhaps shaving off some wood at the base? is that wise? My friend will wire it up for me as hes registered electrician?

Is there another way to do this? I cant believe I can't find a 69cm oven, smallest is 70.3 and good ones are 72cm so hoping to shave off 2 cm ?

Thanks

Nick

What doesn't fit, and what do you intend to 'shave off some wood' from?
If 69cm is the height, that would be unusually short, ovens are generally the same height as most kitchen units which is normally in the 72cm area, hence most being that size.
