Dover...

you brexers are so easily brainwashed by the childish posturing of the Tory govt.

You seem to have forgotten the govt dropped the internal market bill like a stone when EU threatened, and it will do the same with the protocol bill
In a way, I agree with you.

Our real problem is that none of the established political parties - Conservative, Labour (of course), Limp Dem, Green, etc. - appear to have any intention for working for this country and its people.
Some work either for themselves and their friends, others have been brainwashed by the trendy woke green ideas.

The last PM I remember really standing up for this country was Maggie Thatcher, our first remale PM.
Then along came May, our second female PM, who in reality was working for the EU and her husband's business interests.

It could be that our next PM could be another woman. If so, I wonder whose side she'll be on (as well as her own of course).

Jeez us this German energy policy caper

What a dogs breakfast or as some one might say a

Pile of Poo :)

I read somewhere that Germans are being made to take cold showers in order to save energy - nothing sinister about that, at all.:p

The EU needs massive reform.
It needs to return to its original mission and that was a tarrif free trade area.
All the other stuff about intrefering in areas of sovereignty which have nothing to do with trade have to go.
Care to tell us in which areas sovereign countries (ie any member state) within the EU cannot object to or ignore/veto?

According to this, the EU is on the way out.

Interesting.
They've always run affairs as a confederation requiring unanimity but with the existential threat from America and Russia becoming more urgent they need to react in kind and establish a two-thirds voting majority to manage legislation through the EU assembly. It makes sense, for them, to adjust procedural measures and, in kind, makes sense for the UK to be free to manage its own affairs...through Proportional Representation.

Now we are out of it we have no say in what it is or should be.
We are outsiders now

Quite simply.
If you want more of the same, keep voting for it.

Don't worry about it.
The Germans couldn't afford the gas, even if they had the intent.
