Dover...

Simple, because we haven't taken back control. May tried to keep us in the EU by stealth and produced her 'solution' to show that she'd obtain our independence. Boris took over and produced his infamous 'oven ready deal' which was based on May's solution. This achieved only BRINO and we are still tied to both the EU in many ways (including regarding Northern Ireland and our fishing areas) and also the ECHR. The only way that Boris could manage to extract us from the EU's control was to agree to continue to pay them for 'ongoing expenses' and also that we would not benefit in any way for all the work we had done on earlier projects, including Galileo.
There is also the continuing problem of illegal immigration across the Channel. While this is due to the government doing nothing other than making the effort to pick them up mid-Channel and bring them here, it is also the fault of the French for allowing (and no doubt encouraging) them to set sail from their coastline and turning a blind eye to the trafficking operations on their land.
Admittedly, both problems are mainly our own (or rather our government's) fault, the French are doing their best to make us pay for leaving their control.
Have you reached Mars before the USA ??? You clearly aren't on this planet. 5* for the biggest load of crap I have seen on the subject. You need treatment. Chlorpromazine wont be strong enough.

For a bit of balance JBR post paints a pretty accurate picture. The more the EU and its countries cause issues the more apparent it is that the longer term position is not to be part of their cabal.

Dream on. We aren't a member any more and that has all sorts of consequences.

Tell me something why are the airports having problems? Don't you think ports etc would have done similar due lack of use for a long period. Do you expect all to arrange to cope for maximum demand and keep staff and etc all year long? Like the tunnel the delay is usually about 2hrs. So something went wrong and ..................

The drug I mentioned is supposed to help with paranoia but some would need too much of it.

I think most sensible people will realise that trying to debate in an adult manner with such people is pointless.

To bail out the economies of failing members when they collapse. Cost unknown yet, just leave an unsigned cheque at HQ.
The clue was in the word 'exact'...

You reply with 'Cost unknown yet'...

So how much exactly?

Oh that's right you're just spouting brexiteer b*llshit yet again!

Article 125 no bail out clause.
"Article 125 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union is colloquially called the ‘no bailout clause’ and is referred to as such on the ECB website1. However, Article 125 solely states that Member States cannot take on the debts of another Member State. It does not rule out Member States ‘bailing out’ other countries by lending to them. Neither is there any prohibition on loans being restructured. Moreover, the European Court of Justice in its Pringle decision established that the European Stabilisation Mechanism bailout fund was consistent with Article 125".

it's not the EU's Brexit, it's not the EU's responsibility, and it's not the EU's problem.

"Easiest deal in history" my asre.

The free trade deal we have with the EU, involving no tariffs and no quotas is the most far reaching and generous deal they have ever agreed. For reasons known only to them, they have decided to test the limits on how the rules are implemented, nobody could have envisaged how spiteful they would be about the implementation of these rules. More checks are carried out on the NI border than the entire EU land border, which is considerably longer.
The EU are simply being c***s.

We need a leader strong enough to walk away from the deal, go for a hard brexit. I'm not sure that Truss is up to the job, although she showed promise on the NI protocol bollux.
