I have downlighters in my kitchen and i need to remove one as the threaded part that you screw the bulb into came out with a bulb I tried to replace. any help/diagrams/advice.

The fitting as a Knightsbridge ct-4150 that takes R50 bulbs.

needs a new lamp holder then.

get new one and see how it comes apart

no expert but i think i just need to re screw this part back in to the holder is is square in shape with an internal thd for the buld and an exsternal thd that screws in to holder but tyring to screw this back in with holder in ceiling is difficult this is why i need to remove holder to make this easier.
new holder seems drastic.

thanks

The downlighter should pull down from the ceiling. Grasp both sides of it against the plasterboard, and pull straight down. There are 2 spring clips that spring against the back of the plasterboard. Some of them are quite vicious or may be loose, so beware. Pull down slowly.
