Integrated will almost always (assuming it's a half decent fitting) give you a better result lighting wise. Downside is that you can't just replace the "bulb' when there's a failure. From memory, there isn't a great choice of high wattage LEDs GU10 - so integrated units have the edge there.
But I hate the darned things with a passion either way - it's one area where BAS and I fully agree(d). We have them in the kitchen and the glare I get on my glasses is terrible, plus awkward reflections off things, and terrible shadows.
