A lightbulb blew, which caused the MCB to trip. I have reset the MCB but the downstairs lights are not working. Any ideas?

check there isn't a separate rcd switch somewhere that needs resetting.

have you reset the mcb correctly? some need to be pushed right down then pushed up.

have you removed the blown lamp?

Hi
I think the mcb has been reset properly, but I haven't removed the blown bulb - I've never needed to do that in the past.

I had an intermittent mcb a proteus board the other day.

That was;- you turn it on, one time and it worked, try it again - and it did not. You could try toggling the mcb switch a couple of times. Other than that I would not advise you do any further testing in this area yourself.

Too dangerous in there for some one with limited experience. Especially the board that you have - there are huge live busbars running all over the place in them.

But you should remove the old bulb in any case.
