DPC brick hairline crack normal?

Hi
I’m building a single storey extension and builder current laying the DPC, I noticed some of the bricks has hairline cracks. is that normal ? does that matter?

That’s a throw out brick or should be buried in the masonry somewhere. Deffo not one you’d lay on show.

thanks would this be buried underground or it will be above ground when finished? will this affect the quality in the future?

It will be about 150mm above ground and visible. It is in a vulnerable position and could be damp for long periods. It should not be used there no. It may spall in the future.
