When butting a dwarf wall up to an existing house wall do you need to tie the bricks in and also is any damproof needed between the existing house cavity wall and the new dwarf wall[600 mm high].
The wall will be for a conservatory,it will be 600mm high from the floor level of the conservatory and will be 14ft long on two sides with a 10ft wall at the front with french doors at the front.
i would tie it in. You can buy systems like furfixngs which is a metal strip you screw to the existing wall and then hang the ties out to line in with the brickwork. Its also supposed to act as a dpc, but i would still put one behind it.
