I converted a house into two flats . with all the normal certifiation , the assessing company asked for this and i have no clue how to get the certification. anyone experianced this

Confirmation that the drains and waste plumbing have been tested satisfactorily supported by an air or water test witnessed by building control or an independent survey report

What is an assessing company? Assessing what and for whom? You have Building Control Approval for the conversion presumably?

yes. i have that but i opted for a private building control company ( big mistake ) and this is one of the things that are asking for.

Just stick a bung in the drains and fill with water, then get them signed off by the inspector (whilst full).

And if you thought you'd just keep topping the water up, I recall Clerks of Works that would float a matchstick in the water in the exposed pipe.

Many many ways to cheat a soiltest!!!
But are the soilpipes external? If so no need to test.
Internal on new drains will need testing.
