i've recently had an extension built. Builders being builders have done their job and left the garden in a mess( not complaining as this was expected). However the garden is not flat now and as a result when it rains i have alot of puddles forming around my outside walls. How can i keep this water away from my walls. I was thinking about laying gravel about half a metre wide and 250cm deep around the perimeter of the walls. What do you think. Any other ideas will be appreciated,

these french drains look as if they need connected up to the existing drainage, a bit too much work for what is needed here. I already have adequate drainage the problem being the builder has changed the level of land a bit,
