Drayton Wiser 1 - replacing existing wired thermostat

I have purchased a Drayton Wiser 1 to replace my existing Drayton LP811 programmer with a wired thermostat. I have an Alpha CD25C combi boiler single system. I am confused by the installation instructions, since it initially just says:

"If there is an existing wired thermostat
connected via the wallplate, this must be
disconnected, i.e. remove the thermostat wires from the wallplate"

Later on it also says:

"a link must be inserted between the terminals where the thermostat common and call for heat wires are located in the wiring centre."

I really do not understand what this is referring to and the Wiser website suggested it was a simple task to just replace my existing. I uploaded a photo of my existing wallplate & thermostat.

Can I simply just remove the wired thermostat and pop on the new hub panel to the wallplate?

Thanks.

Remove the roomstat from the backplate and you will have a yellow wire (that is in 4 at the moment) left floating, move it to 3 and your done.

Excellent! Just done that and it has worked thanks! Makes sense since the thermostat is effectively connecting the red and yellow when it gets cold! Cheers!

Just to bring up a very old thread  as just bought one of these like the OP.

If I am reading this correctly to isolate my thermostat to use the new system Drayton Wiser 1. All I need to do is unscrew the Yellow wire from the terminal 4 and screw into terminal 3 the N terminal?

Which end are you talking about? Thermostat or the programmer? I don't think you'd place any in the neutral, normally just neutral that goes in there

Sorry as per the thread above the thermostat side. Reading the original reply above.

No idea how that would work as there isn't a wire in terminal 4 on the thermostat. To bridge it out 1 and 3 together. Thermostat to remain on the wall. If you wanted it removing off the wall then needs to be done at the wiring center end
