Just stripped the wallpaper of and I've noticed that there are lots of holes drilled in the lintels above the windows

I'm guessing different curtains that have been fitted over the years, will this weaken the lintels

its a 1950's house with concrete lintels

It's stood for 70 years nearly, should be good for a bit longer.
If curtains can weaken a lintel, we are all doomed...

...actually that's a lie, I've got blinds.

Put the curtain rails back up quick, they may have been load-bearing.

You could do a full analysis of the beam dimensions, reinforcement etc etc and calculate whether it has enough spare strength to have holes drilled.

Or alternatively, as suggested above, accept that if it hasn't fallen down then it's probably fine.

It's OK, you'll be fine and can sleep safely at night ....... away from the window, with a helmet on, and foam blankets.
