I need to hang a shower caddy thing (metal cage that holds shampoos etc).

Never having drilled through tile before are there any tips?

I bought some specialist drill bits. Do I also still need to use a rawl plug in tile?

Use a tile drill bit with light pressure and moderate speed. Don't use the hammer setting on your drill, go lightly and once it starts to cut thru the ceramic face it should go through like a knife thru butter. If it struggles then stop to let the drill bit cool and start again. You'll need a suitable fixing for your wall type... So if that's a rawlplug then yes you still need one. Try to make sure the rawlplug is into the wall, ie behind the tile rather than flush with the face,
