Hi there.

I seem to have a dripping / tapping noise that comes after I have used the hot water in the bathroom - it does not seem to be a problem when I use cold water, or when I flush the toilet.

I wonder if it is coming from the soil pipe?

I have checked the boiler (in the attic) and pipes leading down to the bathroom and there is no obvious signs of a leak.

The noise is coming from the airing cupboard, where the old immersion heater was befoe I had Central heating installed and the boiler moved to the attic.

This has a shelf in it, and before I go ripping it out to look for any signs of a leak, I just wanted to know whether I was going in the right direction!!!

Thanks

If it`s a tapping/ticking noise.it could well just be the H/W pipe expanding against wood in a tight spot.If so ,nothing to worry about, just a bit annoying.

Thanks. Can't see any sign of a leak, and only comes when draining hot water put so presume it must be related to expansion of pipes.

Will just have to live with it then!
