Dripping shower

Hi, I'm new so please go gently

I installed my own shower valve last summer, and it worked great. However, recently it has started dripping, and it got progressively worse. So i phoned the manufacturer (Which was a tricky business as finding their information was hard due to a rubbish manual!) and they told me i needed an SVR21 valve to replace the existing flow control valve. I bought one that i found online ( http://www.ergonomicdesigns.co.uk/p...nd-off-flow-cartridge-ceramic-disc-valve.html ) and it arrived the next day.

I went to fit it yesterday, and it turns out that everything about it is correct, except the diameter of it - it is about 24mm and it needs to have about a 31mm diameter thread. However, looking online for something like that and i cannot seem to find anything. Is anyone able to shed any light on this?

Firstly, rinse out the valve when fully open, and make sure it's not a bit of grit or crap that in there stopping it from closing correctly.

I'd then get in touch with the parts supplier and ask them, mention that the manufacturer has stated what the correct part is, and the one they supplied with the same part number isn't correct.

It's definitely the blue version and not the one with the red washer?

Yeah, it's definitely the blue one. I did actually try taking it out and washing it. However, when I put it back in and turned it off and then opened the isolation valves water came gushing out of it! Turning the knob made no difference. Our had been suggested I have nicked the rubber o-ring. Sound likely?
