Guys I need to replace the drive coupling (sleeve) on the above pump but cannot locate a supplier. I would appreciate a lead to where I can get one. BTW I'm near Abergavenny

Many thanks in anticipation<G>

This part is likely to be available from heating specialists too.
John :)

Thanks John

They appear to have the part but their P+P of six quid makes this £1.40 part rather costly. Hopefully someone can suggest a more cost effective supplier<G>

You need to specify the make and model of the oil burner that this danfoss pump is fitted to as different Burners need different Couplings ;)

What size is the spindle rod?

Daniel.

Thanks Daniel

The spindle rod is about 25mm long and about 8mm dia. The actual plastic coupling is 20mm long. The Danfoss BFP 11 R3 pump is fitted to a Eco Flam Minor 1 HEB 40/60 burner unit and this is fitted to a Thermecon boiler.

Plumb Center/Parts Center should have them if you have one nearby.

Thanks for that. I rang my local Plumb Centre but they do not carry the Danfoss connectors and have to wait to contact Danfoss to get a part number. Strange as I understood that these parts quite often need to be replaced.

Have you tried Parts Center? One near you, better than Plumb Center if you can get past the advice committee near the door :p

Thanks, yes I have tried them but they are the same here as The Plumb Centre <G> They cannot do anything until Monday when they will contact Danfoss. I think as an emergency solution I will try putting back the present coupling with 10 sec glue in the hope that it will give enough grip on the pump shaft. As an alternative I could try some PTFE tape over the pump shaft to do the same thing or even apply a rib of epoxy to the shaft <G> Any suggestions would be welcome.

I've run some tape over the shaft and pushed the coupling back on and I feel confident this will now work until I can find a replacement coupling.

Boiler has been running smoothly at the right pressure for over half an hour so I think I can safely say that the problem is solved. Thanks to everyone who has offered assistance.
