My lad has a cellar that is essentialy 'dry'. But, his outer wall gets signs of damp coming thru now and then, (not surprising with the amount of rain). All that happens is the 'white-wash' on the walls starts to blister in places. Now, given this is quite a rough stone wall, would it be feasable to batten it across and dry-line it? If so, what sort of gear would i need to firstly treat the wall, then the boarding to cover it.
Could this then be just emusioned over (what do you do about the joints?).
