Dryer hose to rigid duct connection?

Numpty question:
I have a rigid 100mm pvc pipe through the wall. How does the flexible dryer vent pipe affix to this? Will the flexi pipe expand over the outside of the rigid pipe and then secure with ties or should I have a connector of some sort?
Assuming a connector, does this then slip inside of the rigid pipe?

I use this.
Flexi pipe on one side held with cable tie and short screw, then pushed into rigid pipe.

And forgot to add that I have this to hide any damage on wall arround rigid pipe.

Or use one of these. This screws onto the end of the flexible hose, other end inserts into the 100mm ducting. Universal Tumble Dryer Vent Hose Connector | eSpares
