there was a similar one recently... all about porn and listing lots and lots of porn sites.

what is the point of making this post?

does it make vast amount of money if we click on the links???

it works on the law of averages.

send enough out and a percentage will buy / look at what you are selling

years ago, i used to be in a "group*" and we would send out 10,000 flyers (junk mail) at a time, the reply rate was about 1% but thats 100 people that would join what we were doing, the income from the extra 100 paid for the 10,000 flyers and we all profited (and so did they)

it just so happens that you (and I ) are on a forum, so you and i only see the one (from this user) spam post, but they are sending out thousands.

To prove it, answer this;

If it doesn't work why do they still do it?

oh and the spam posts on here are posted by people, not bots, since there is an anti robot feature (they cant read the sign in conformation bit) which is why when you see some spam posts they are done wrong.

* not pop group, just a group of people

Breezer on another thread there's a suggestion that bots are getting more sophisticated and can now defeat the graphic passphrase using OCR technology so I presume this may be the case here?

Toffee, i also suppose you could say this site has "in built spam"

in the shape of google ads, nothing wrong with them, i use them, but in the case of ads you dont have to click on the ad if you dont want to
