Duel fuel cookers

Just after a bit of advice here .. we are getting a new kitchen fitted soon and will be putting in a duel fuel cooker (missus idea) and I know more about them than I do about the Guyana rainfall so what is recommended and what should I avoid .. we will be going for one with 5/6 burners and hot plate.. not skinflinting but don't want tobe held to ransom.. any advice will be great and I will send you a blue peter badge
 
I can't give you any specific advice other than to consider that gas is a lot cheaper to cook with than electricity:(
