Hi,
I am repainting a bedroom, it’s currently embossed wallpaper. I had planned on doing a coat of undercoat and then two topcoats of Farrow and Ball (paint already bought)

I mistakenly bought Dulux Trade oil based undercoat which on the back of the tin says it is for use underneath gloss paint. I didn’t read the back of the tin, so frustrating! It does have a slight sheen to it.

Will I still be able to paint the Farrow and Ball paint over it?

yes BUT wait a week or two. Farrow and Ball paints are pants. if you apply the F&B too early you risk getting fish eyes in the emulsion.

The gloss will seal the paper and mean any emulsion over the top will could take hours rather than minutes to dry .
