Dulux Trade Ultimate Woodstain

Hi there,

I have a few tins of dulux trade ultimate woodstain that someone gave me that I'm looking to use to paint my shed. However, the specs for this paint say it should be used on smooth planed timber, the shed however is rough planed. I wondered if this would be still suitable? I want to get a nice finish.

Not really suitable and a waste of a good product. You just want a cheap fence stain for rough sawn.

That is a shame, I was hoping I could use this as I'm looking for a really nice finish. But if I can't get a good finish on the rough planed timber I'll have to look for something else.
