earth connection.
you are supposed to put the "banjo" on the gland before the lock nut (after gland terminated) you then connect an earth wire via a suitable connection (crimp eye and nut and bolt) to the banjo.
you would do this if you were using a plastic box to bring in the swa cable.
if it is a metal box all surfaces should be cleaned of paint and the gland tightened. this also assumes the metal box is earthed

assuming (since you asked) its a swa cable, it would be best to terminate it in a metal box. as some one said, if you dont the tail will wag the dog.
as for connecting it to the board you connect it to the apropriate terminals
some people will use a core of a 3 core swa as an earth, so it depends on what you have chosen to do.
