I have a megaflo E7 DD210 boiler and noticed this morning that the on-peak tank was overheating and the thermostat on the front had started to melt. We've switched everything off, but our landlords are unable to do anything until tomorrow and then with the Christmas backlog may not get to dealing with us for a while.

The MegaFlo help line is also closed until tomorrow. Obviously I want to play it more safe than sorry but wondering if its still safe to have the off peak tank on so we still have hot water?

Would be grateful for any advice! Thanks

It should be fine to use the element which has not shown signs of overheating.

I would still advise you to only heat while actually at the flat though.

ALWAYS ensure there is no flamable material anywhere near the cylinder and particularly not touching the cables or electrical parts.
