Earth bonding connected to a socket

I wonder what that consists of? As part P is a building regulation not a qualification or certificate.

The EIC is like 5-6 pages where he wrote what he did with some results. In the description he wrote this:

Replace consumer unit, rewired upstairs and downstairs lighting circuits (excluding kitchen and bathroom), extended existing socket circuits and installed
new/altered socket outlets, replaced sockets, switches and light fittings, installed two external front lights, provided supplies for doorbell and porch light, installed loft socket and cupboard lights, installed gas and water bonding, installed/extended kitchen socket outlets and FCUs for cooker, dishwasher and washing machine, installed kitchen light fitting and extended cable from existing wiring, installed/extended under stairs FCU and socket and replaced switch face plate, installed fan isolator switch from existing wiring.

I then received a building regs certificate showing this:

8002 - Install one or more new circuits

8003 - Install a replacement consumer unit

Fair enough.

On the consumer unit issue...its a mess, needs a good tidy up although thats not necessarily dangerous.

There seems to be a few cables marked with earth tape going into the rcbos, not sure what thats all about?

Yeah I get all that and is part of the eicr/works carried out. You mentioned about a Part P certificate, which is what I asked about.

I received 2 documents…I assumed the second one was a part p - building control one?

How is the clamp installed incorrectly…what is the issue?

The wire should be looped around the screw, or a crimp terminal used if there are two or more wires.
As it is there, any movement on the wire will cause it to loosen and pull out.

The label should be fixed by passing the screw through the round hole in the label.

No decent electrician would add an earth from a pipe to an unearthed socket, either rewire or disconnect.

And its on the bend he could move it down a bit surely

That has been put there in a feeble attempt to hold the ancient crumbling rubber insulation together.
Multiple wires in there are rubber insulated, all of them should have been replaced long ago.

As I need the socket and near the water mains there is another 2.5 wire going for a socket in the kitchen, you reckon he could have got the earth from there?

If someone is gonna bodge it atleast use brown tape.

Strangely, it’s somehow is linked to the kitchen. Basically this socket is in the kitchen passageway. So when the kitchen rcbo closes then the entire kitchen including this kitchen passage socket doesn’t work. Perhaps a 2 core was used maybe for this socket.

I think you need a few circuits rewiring
