i need to carry out some earth bonding in my new bathroom

the plumber has used plastic couplings in a couple of places, i presume i need to bond across them

is there a max distance the bonding can be away from exposed taps
ie can i do it under the floorboards

the shower and the cold tap are fed by the same pipe do i need to bond
the pipe near to the tap , the shower or both

the incoming hot pipe is connected to earth under the kitchen sink
do i need to earth it in the bathroom too

The bonding needs to be inspectable - and unless you have little trap doors in your floor this usually means under the bath or in the airing cupboard. Otherwise, no restriction, other than electrically continuous.

part of the installation is a spa bath
can i connect the bath pipes to the earth from the electric supply to the bath
connect all the other pipes together with earth wire including bath ones
and the shower one and also connect the earth from the shower supply
to the pies as well

or does it have to have one earth return to the CU only

All this predicated on the plumbing being metal throughout, apart from a few plastic connections (which should, as you suggest, be bonded across)

Not only can, but must.

And the lighting circuit.

The supplementary bonding remains within the bathroom - it does not go back to the CU.

Thanks for the reply

by this i mean is it ok to have multiple earth paths back to the CU
via the earth wire in the supply cables
as the shower and bath are supplies by different breakers in
CU

Given the requirement to bond all extraneous-conductive-parts and the cpcs of circuits supplying appliances in the Zones, it's inevitable.

Some say that if the lighting is outside the zones, it does not need bonding.
