I am currently renovating/rewiring an old brass stand lamp.

Although the brass lampholders are earthed via an earthing
connection on the holders themselves, I can't maintain earth continuity
throughout the entire stand iteself because of the many metal sections the
stand is made up of. How do I keep this installation within the wiring regs. ?

it's common to find an earthing screw or stud in the base of these things, I would say if the top is earthed (through the brass lampholder) and the base is earthed (through the stud) that should be enough.

You should also earth at any switch there might be.

You will be using sheathed flex inside, not bell-wire or singles.
