Earthing lightswitch with plastic back box

I am wiring in a new one way lightswitch .... where does the earth cable go?

Its a plastic back box.

What material is the switch faceplate, if it is metal then it needs to go to that, if plastic then sleeve earth wire & coil up in the box( for future use).

yeh its plastic faceplate, i just thought it was strange to leave it!

What else are you going to do with it, cut it off? That will be really handy when your wife decides she wants nice chrome switches

Sleeve it, terminate the end in a piece of terminal block and leave it in the back box for future use.
