Hi, Apologies for sort of hijacking the OP but in image 2 if i am seeing it correctly the earth seems to go to a painted pipe. So just out of interest is this ok, ie is this a good bond or should the bond be made to "clean" pipe.

well spotted.
however without a closer picture we can't tell if it was painted after the earth was put on, or if the installer has scratched the paint off where the clamp sits, or whether they just put it on a painted pipe..
