Easy Question ??

Hi,

I have a quick question for you Guys/Gals. I'm considering to replace standard mains wall lights with wall light with built in transformer.

Am i ok to do a direct switch over ?

i have changed one light and it works fine, i would just like someone to confirm that i am ok using the same wiring for the low voltage fittings

PLEASE ADVISE !!!!

assuming the the lights are designed for 230v 50hz[bought in uk] and you connect the mains wire to the transformer with the lamps own wire after the transformer then yes your ok as long as the transformer input is less than around 4 amps to allow some power for the other lights

I wouldn't advise connecting to the cabling after the transformer as that's the load side. You'll be connecting 12v lamps to a 230v supply!
