Hello all,

Right its time to get this bathroom done....but where do I start??

I would really like to get rid of the toilet, but does it look costly??? e.g. should I get a closed coupled or just replace the low level cistern??

Also i would like to replace the rad for a towel rail, but the valves sit under the sink, which means replacing the basin which I don't really wanna do as apart from the taps it is in good condition...

I could do without gettin the professionals in, as money is tight, and obviously as you can see plastering is required due to the tiles pulling the the rendering off......

Any advice would be appreiciated.......

Oh P.S we have to live there while all this is being done and that is the only toilet!!!!

You'll find if you replace the toilet with a close couple wc and cistern that you'll have to block the cistern out from the wall due to the position of the soil. A Q pan connector will push it a bit further back but it will still need blocking out.

If you don't like this idea then you are stuck with a low level suite or fit a back to the wall pan with a hide away cistern in a unit behind.
