Economy 7 immersion heater suddenly not working

Well it's all fixed now...

Turned out that the thermostat that came with the new element was faulty and shutting off at about 25C lower than the stated temp. So it was warming up a little bit and then cutting out.

Replaced it with the one from the old one, and now it's all running great again!

So thanks for the pointers, guys... :D
