Hi all
Just a question about ECS card
i've been told by 1 of my contractors that i need to carry a ecs card whilst on site.
Having only past 16th (2381) and EAL Domestic Installers course along with the ECS health and safety assesment.

Im just wondering what grading they will give me on the front of the card?
As any of you lot here past the same course's and carry the card what grading did they give you?

Do you mean a CSCS (construction skills certification scheme)?

I Believe that, unless you have a NVQ3, you will only get an 'Adult Trainee' card!

Grading system is a bit of a joke, got a letter back from them saying that I can get graded as an adult trainee...

C&G 2360 1&2
C&G 2381
C&G 2391
C&G 2400

all because I aint got an NVQ 3 or AM2

its a good job I dont get paid trainee wages...

Surely if you dont have the NVQ 2 or 3 then you just a trainee?

Yes, the CSCS (construction skills certification scheme) is administered by the JIB and, Yes, I believe one needs the NVQ3 to obtain an Electricians Card, other than that, it's an Adult Trainee Card.
