Hello Folks,

Hope everyone is well and thanks in advance.

Plaster from side of my roof fell out and I can see some more is about to fall. Any thoughts if I can repair it myself and any tips will be most useful.

I am a bit of a novice and was thinking of buying some plaster and filling in the gap?

No reason why you couldn't repair it yourself. But it's not, or shouldn't be plaster. It's cement.

Cement is a bit of a broad description... Its Mortar which is basically a cement powder with an aggregate and water.
If you are trying it your self you wont go wrong getting a bag or two of Remix roofing mortar. Might cost you £4 or £5 a bag but the mix will be perfect for what you want.
Damp it all down first.

This is most useful, thank you.

The video is great, I am confident I can do that.

Any tips on ladder safety :)

id be surprised if that doesn't fall out after a winter.
your tiles require bedding not smarming up with a skim .

Yes , exactly, what is he doing ,just skimming the surface :?::!: If the verge tiles need rebedding in mortar that won't do any good.
