I suspect you'd feel the same kind of emotion if you were standing in front of a statue that was venerating the enslaving of 84,000 of your ancestors, 19,000 of whom died in the process.What motivated the 'statue toppling' was raw emotion,
I'm pleased that you were able to understand their objective.and the false belief that by doing it, they were 'fixing' racism in Britain,
That 18th century philanthropist was only able to be philanthropical due to his enslaving of 84,000 people, plus his investment in other slave endeavours.which is totally removed from the life of an 18th Century philanthropist.
