But,
no racism = no need for legislation = no need for removal of potentially offensive words.

So in future, instead of blaming the changing of rhymes, the national debt, the price of tobacco, the sickness of your dog, the loss of your benefits , etc, etc on immigration, look in the mirror and see the true cause.
?
RH, are you on drugs or what!!
In a few days I'm going to be 61, I've worked bloody hard most of my life since leaving school in 69 when I was 16yrs old, just over a year ago I was driving back to Bristol and the agency rang and said DHL, Jaguar Land Rover contract didn't want me the following day after working four months for them..
So the next day I get dressed and phone the agency and still they have no work for me, a little later my mate calls and says, the run I was doing from Avonmouth to Llanelli to Birmingham back to Avonmouth was being done by a Polish driver working £2ph less than me, which the employment agency was picketing the difference..

Now apparently you're telling me to look in the mirror, its my fault????

I think its time you woke up and smell the coffee, not hide behind some fictitious name claiming to live in France or somewhere, do you live in the real world, have you ever had a full time job, do you sit in front of a computer all day watching the rest of us try and earn a living while you scam off the state?
I take it your mate was still woking for them then.
I wonder how come they stopped using your services?
Maybe your mate had a better attitude.

And as for the rest of your comments, I'll drop them in the metophorical waste bin.

My mate started a few weeks after me, they got rid of him within a month

Ahh, the plot thickens and very much dilutes your claim that you were pushed out in favour of an immigrant worker.

You were sacked, you say, in favour of an immigrant, but your mate was taken on a few weeks later, then he was sacked after a few weeks.

Doesn't it sound as though your ex-employers were deliberately using casual labour for a few weeks at a time, and it had absolutely nothing to do with use of cheaper labour.
Unless, of course, by continually using casual labour they were able to avoid higher wages and other costs.

That's one of the risks of unskilled labour.

Alternatively, the contract for haulage was temporary and intermittent. Therefore the drivers were temporarily, casually and intermittently employed.
And the cost of drivers' wages was almost irrelevant.

RH, I'm surprised you seem to know so much about employment scams etc. coming from someone that I think sits in front of a computer all day, have you ever had meaningful employment??

You're wasting your time Pred. I pressed Coathanger on his occupation, and he was completely evasive. He's obviously a professional agitator and bleeding heart.

He must be the only one on here that doesn't think that uncontrolled borders won't mean squeezed pay and conditions for UK workers. Stands to reason that if employers can get away with poverty wages and zero hours contracts, then it's definitely an employers' market out there.

Anyway, welcome back Bristol-boy. Hope all is well with you, and the property empire is coming along well.

I just ignored your question because it was totally irrelevant in the context at the time.
I could claim to be or have been anything that I could imagine, but it's an anonymous forum, so any unsubstantiated claims are silly, don't you think?
Additionally, you must be the only one on here who thinks that because you asked a question it must be answered.

You may, and you do, misinterpret my stance on EU and free movement of people and goods any way you wish. In that process you add any baseless assumptions that you can think of.
Why not stick to summarising your own position, beliefs and theories and leave others to do likewise. I'm sure they don't need your assistance, for what it's worth, with summarising their arguments, because, as you have clearly demonstrated you twist everything to make out yourself in the best light possible.
Devious and deceitful.

I think Clarkson is ok if a little too full of his own self nowadays.

Anyway. This 'N' word, is it illegal to say for everyone? Because its used alot in a certain genre of music, and whilst looking at Youtube with my kids over the weekend i noticed the next tune to be played popped up had the n word but spelt (insert offending letter)+IGGA in the title? Why is this allowed? Its racist right? So lyrics in a poem are, but in a song or recited in any other way aren't or it depends on the person saying it?

Now is it just the 'racist white people' not allowed to use the word?

On a side note isn't it funny.. if you see a union jack or st george flag in a garden on a pole (that's the cylindrical rod type!) it's assumed you're some kind of racist and not just patrtiotic?

NO. It is illegal to offend someone because of race.

I suppose black people are not offended when a black person says it.

Now is it just the 'racist white people' not allowed to use the word?
It would appear from the recent debacle that it is when white people are offended by a white person saying it.
Don't forget 'they' bought the presumably stolen tape of Clarkson.

I notice that there is no embargo on the 'slope' remark (I didn't know what it meant) and saying and writing 'slope' whilst discussing it seems perfectly acceptable.

If you go into your bedroom and say 'the N word' out loud so that no one hears you will not get into trouble but if I tape it and sell it to the Daily Mirror it will be the end of the world.

Has Piers Morgan still got friends at the DM because don't forget that Clarkson was taking the **** out of him recently when he was sacked in the US.

It's only racist if you're white.

I agree that 'slope' seems still to be acceptable to the thought police...
...but for how long? I can imagine our being obliged to substitute the word 'incline' in future. Mind you, that also would become illegal in time.

A racist used to be someone who didn't like blacks, nowadays a racist is someone whom blacks and the liberals don't like.
