Laminate is laminate, a photo-copy of wood. and no matter if the manage to get a bevel in it, make the surface look as if it's oiled: it's plastic melamine stuff.
Brands aplenty, some good, some better, some rubbish. Quickstep is a well known name, but best in quality?
If you like it, go for it and check the guarantees the company gives on it (manufacturer as well as retailer)
