Excel lends itself to having fields to fill in, one could use conditional formatting to highlight errors, cells can be protected so you can't accidentally edit them, if you have a tester which stores results I'd not be surprised to find that they are, or can be got as, comma separated....

Exactly - that's what I meant when I said that Excel would, for this purpose, be more 'flexible' than, say, Word (although, admittedly, one can do a fair amount of manipulation/automation in Word Tables).
