Thanks, seeing the other post you're answering re' plank size I'm going to get the longer, wider planks albeit 14mm high and will give it a go as it is. Maybe try and fill the gap, I'll see what it looks like once I get the boards in.

Early 70's construction is a right pain in the behind isn't it

ye, you can just fill the gap if the rest of the floor is smooth and flat.

You don't sell solid bamboo by any chance?

No, bygone trend I'm afraid (plus the best quality supplier stopped trading to the UK for some or other reason, getting it over was becoming way too expensive for us)

You can purchase solid wood Bamboo Flooring from Hamiltons of Norwich
Tel. 01603 400525 they are online too, either Plain or Carbonised Bamboo in 2.212 m2 packs (I bought some there this week)
